Basketball Recap: Belleville West Comes Up Short

Belleville West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 53-43 to the Manual Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Maroons of the 59-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2019.

Belleville West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Manual, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleville West will welcome Edwardsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edwardsville will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Belleville West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Manual, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Peoria Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m.
