Baseball Recap: Brattleboro Takes a Loss

Brattleboro suffered their closest defeat since May 6, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Mount Anthony Patriots by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 last Wednesday.

Jayke Glidden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Brattleboro's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mount Anthony, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brattleboro will host Burr & Burton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Anthony, they will face off against Hartford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
