Soccer Recap: West Henderson Takes a Loss

If West Henderson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Henderson last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 5-3 to the Franklin Panthers on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as West Henderson came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Franklin are ranked 279th).

West Henderson hit Franklin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noelle Houlihan, Lauren Clonch, and Reagan Simons.

West Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Franklin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, West Henderson will take on East Henderson at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. West Henderson are facing East Henderson at the right time seeing as East Henderson are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they will square off against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin's defense better be ready for this one: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season.
