Soccer Game Preview: Arlington vs. Crockett County

The Arlington Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Crockett County Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Arlington and Dyersburg finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Crockett County came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.1 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Choctaws as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Crockett County, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Crockett County pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those six matches. With that draw, Arlington's record moves to 8-5-3.

Arlington took their win against Crockett County in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
