Basketball Recap: Eau Claire Memorial Makes It 13 in a Row on the Road

Eau Claire Memorial had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against the Rice Lake Warriors by a score of 57-47. Given the Old Abes' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Warriors are ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eau Claire Memorial pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Rice Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.
