Pahranagat Valley (Alamo, Nev.) became the third team in high school football history to win 100 games in a row Friday.
The Panthers claimed a forfeit victory over Indian Springs, who entered the week 0-4 and coming off a lopsided Sept. 30 loss to a team Pahranagat Valley beat 56-0 last Friday.
Probably a good call by both sides but it was not the way the southern Nevada powerhouse pictured consecutive win No. 100.
Pahranagat Valley joins
De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) and its record-breaking total of 151 and
Independence (Charlotte, N.C.) with 109 as the only members of the 100-in-a-row club.
The Panthers' last loss came in 2007. Head coach Ken Higbee has led the program to 11 state titles in the 2000s, including eight in a row.
The 2016 team is shaping up to be one of the more dominant editions. The Panthers are now 7-0 and averaging 47.6 points per game while allowing just 5.6.
