Basketball Recap: East Hardy Gets the Win

If Harman wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played East Hardy, they should've done a better job of containing Xavia Barber. The East Hardy Cougars took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 68-15 victory over the Harman Panthers thanks in part to Barber, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Those 20 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Tinnell, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played.

The win got East Hardy back to even at 2-2. As for Harman, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Hardy will venture away from home to take on Robert C. Byrd at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Harman, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pendleton County at 5:45 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
