Softball Recap: Rialto Knights vs. Bloomington Bruins
After losing to Bloomington the last time they met, Rialto decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 12-7 on Wednesday.
Rylee Estrada and Arianna Munoz made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Estrada pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Munoz didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. At the plate, Estrada went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Munoz went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Milenni Rodriguez was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delilah Perez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Rialto hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Rialto is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Bloomington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.
