Volleyball Recap: Greenfield-Central Takes a Loss

Greenfield-Central was the 2-0 winner over Guerin Catholic when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Golden Eagles on Saturday.

Alex Muegge paced Greenfield-Central's offense, picking up six kills. Muegge got some help from Addi Blomberg and her ten assists.

Claire Ducey was nothing short of spectacular for Guerin Catholic: she had six digs and five aces. Ducey is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 19 every time she's taken the court this season.

Greenfield-Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Guerin Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Greenfield-Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Herron on the 23rd. As for Guerin Catholic, they will take on Covenant Christian in a tournament on Sunday.
