Softball Game Preview: Eastlake Titans vs. Olympian Eagles

The Eastlake Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Olympian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastlake's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Olympian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Eastlake is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering La Costa Canyon just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 4-3.

Addison Suriano spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eastlake saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaz Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Olympian didn't have quite enough to beat Sage Creek on Saturday and fell 5-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olympian also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Alexandra Perez gave up five earned runs on 13 hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Jacqui De Murguia was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Eastlake's record is now 15-5-1. As for Olympian, their record now sits at 4-10-1.

Eastlake skirted past Olympian 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
