Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Academy Wildcats vs. Littleton Lions + How To Watch

The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats will head out to square off against the Littleton Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, St. Mary's Academy came up short against Peak to Peak and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, St. Mary's Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Al Hernandez had 19 digs and three aces. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Littleton also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Poudre by a score of 2-0.

Littleton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for St. Mary's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

St. Mary's Academy took their win against Littleton when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
