Guntersville is 10-0 against Douglas since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Guntersville Wildcats will face off against the Douglas Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Guntersville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Douglas likes a good challenge.

Guntersville picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Asbury 71-24. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Rams are ranked 384th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Douglas earned a 70-63 victory over Boaz on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Douglas has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Guntersville, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.

Everything came up roses for Guntersville against Douglas in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as the squad secured a 79-41 victory. Does Guntersville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Douglas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
