Basketball Game Preview: Convent of the Sacred Heart Cubs vs. Urban Blues

The Convent of the Sacred Heart Cubs will venture away from home to face off against the Urban Blues at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Convent of the Sacred Heart has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Back in December of 2024, the stars were shining brightly for Convent of the Sacred Heart in a 37-22 victory over Redwood Christian.

Meanwhile, Urban came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They greeted the New Year with with a 48-31 win over the Bulldogs. Given the Blues' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 921st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Urban pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Convent of the Sacred Heart, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Convent of the Sacred Heart came up short against Urban when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 37-31. Can Convent of the Sacred Heart avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
