Softball Recap: Onalaska Takes a Loss

Onalaska came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-4 to the Adna Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Onalaska's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Adna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Onalaska will square off against rival Mossyrock at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Adna is set to take on their familiar foe Morton/White Pass at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Pirates' favor as the team sits on 16 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Timberwolves have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
