Van came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spring Hill Panthers, sneaking past 47-45. Given the Vandals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Panthers are ranked 979th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Van is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Spring Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van will venture away from home to challenge Brownsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill will take on Carthage in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
