West Shore recap November 5, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in West Shore this week, Avon beat Bay 34-7. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.

Midview made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,372 from 3,619. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-19 victory over Berea-Midpark last week.

Rocky River's dynamic duo of Matt Lowry and Patrick Connors proved tough for Elyria Catholic to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lowry threw for 345 yards and 4 touchdowns and Connors had 265 yards receiving. Evan Nugent helped Rocky River's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 29 yards.

Connors had a great week catching the football as the Pirates lost to the Panthers. He caught 7 passes for 265 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Middies' Cody Callaway and Logan Bolin have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Callaway has thrown for 2,496 yards this season, while Bolin has 59 catches for 1,141 yards. Lowry from Rocky River leads the league in rushing with 976 yards.

Lowry has rushed for 976 yards on 167 carries so far this year.
