Softball Game Preview: Alexandria-Monroe Tigers vs. Tipton Blue Devils

The Alexandria-Monroe Tigers will challenge the Tipton Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Alexandria-Monroe's favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Tipton has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Alexandria-Monroe got the win against Monroe Central by a conclusive 14-3. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Stella Griffin was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tipton lost 9-1 to Frankton on Monday.

Tipton's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.

Alexandria-Monroe took their victory against Tipton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
