Softball Game Preview: Shorecrest Scots vs. Shorewood Stormrays

The Shorecrest Scots will face off against the Shorewood Stormrays at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shorecrest came up short against Edmonds-Woodway on Friday, falling 18-7. The Scots have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Riu Hanrahan and Lilia Pomaika'I Pua Titiali'I-McKinn did some serious damage despite the final result: Hanrahan went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Pomaika'I Pua Titiali'I-McKinn went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Pomaika'I Pua Titiali'I-McKinn also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Fernandez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Shorewood suffered their biggest loss since March 21st on Friday. They lost 9-2 to Mountlake Terrace.

Charlotte Copacino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Shorecrest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Shorewood, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-6.
