Softball Recap: East Brunswick Vo-Tech Takes a Loss

East Brunswick Vo-Tech extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-7 in the process. They fell 7-4 to the Perth Amboy Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Perth Amboy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 on April 9th.

As for Perth Amboy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Perth Amboy's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Pardo, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Pardo a new career-high.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. East Brunswick Vo-Tech will square off against rival Piscataway at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Perth Amboy is set to challenge their familiar foe Middlesex at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
