Basketball Game Preview: Modoc Braves vs. Fall River Bulldogs

The Modoc Braves just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Fall River Bulldogs at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Modoc has three straight wins, Fall River has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Modoc strolled past Hoopa Valley with points to spare, taking the game 60-43.

Chris Guasp continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adin Benson, who posted six points along with 15 rebounds and three blocks.

Modoc smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 70 points the game before, Fall River was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 66-29 loss at the hands of Redding Christian. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-11.

Modoc pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Fall River, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Modoc strolled past Fall River when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 59-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Modoc since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
