Recap: Kokomo Wildkats vs. Batesville Bulldogs
On Thursday, Kokomo was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Batesville. Kokomo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kokomo lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ma'Kaela Drake, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aijia Elliott, who scored 18 points along with six blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Batesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyson Peters, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Sophie Gesell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Kokomo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Batesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
