The Tampa Bay Tech Titans will head out to challenge the Armwood Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tampa Bay Tech has given up an average of 15 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
While Tampa Bay Tech's win against Blake wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Tampa Bay Tech had just enough and edged out Blake 15-14 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won seven in a row.
Tampa Bay Tech got a massive performance out of Jaida T, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was T's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taliyah H, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Armwood was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 18-1 to Strawberry Crest. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Armwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Azaria Hall, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Having lost for the first time this season, Armwood fell to 2-1. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tampa Bay Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Armwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tampa Bay Tech was able to grind out a solid victory over Armwood in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, winning 7-2. Will Tampa Bay Tech repeat their success, or does Armwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
