Basketball Recap: Northtown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waldorf back in December of 2024, Northtown came back down to earth. The Northtown Pumas received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 61-47 to the Walther Christian Academy Broncos. The loss continues a trend for the Pumas in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now lost seven in a row.

Northtown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Walther Christian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

When Northtown and Walther Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Northtown will try to stop Phoenix Military's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Walther Christian Academy will try to stop Holy Trinity's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
