Basketball Recap: Virgin Valley Victorious

The third road contest was the charm for Virgin Valley, as they earned their first road win of the season. They managed a 28-23 win over the Pahrump Valley Trojans on Thursday. The 28-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Pahrump Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joshua Slusher, who posted four points and eight rebounds. Those four points gave Slusher a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Lozano, who had eight points.

The victory got Virgin Valley back to even at 4-4. As for Pahrump Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Virgin Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-49 loss against Spring Creek on the 26th. As for Pahrump Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 74-24 defeat against Needles on the 27th.
