Volleyball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hopi last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the St. Johns Redskins on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-13, 25-23.

Sarah Cox was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and two aces.

With the defeat, Valley broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-9. As for St. Johns, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Pinon on the 16th. As for St. Johns, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Northland Prep Academy on the 16th.
