Baseball Recap: Bergen Tech's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bergen Tech had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Eastside Ghosts. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 14th.

Dan Lee tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Steve Choi, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Bergen Tech's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Eastside, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-6.

Bergen Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Ghosts: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
