Volleyball Recap: West Mesa Comes Up Short

West Mesa managed to slip by Rio Grande the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Ravens on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rio Grande to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaslene Proa, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Proa has posted since back in September.

West Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Rio Grande, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Coincidentally, West Mesa and Rio Grande will both be playing Albuquerque the next time they take the court. The Ravens will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
