Baseball Recap: Bourgade Catholic Comes Up Short

Bourgade Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Northwest Christian Crusaders. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Rolando Palencia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ramon Rojas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Bourgade Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Northwest Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bourgade Catholic will head out to face off against ALA - Ironwood at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Payson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Payson will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
