Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Martinville). They strolled past the Central Catholic Eagles with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 61-45. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

St. Martinville was led to victory by Makharee Narcisse and Lyle Potier. Narcisse posted 21 points, while Potier scored 12 points. That's the most points Narcisse has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Raytyrion Narcisse, who earned nine points.

St. Martinville's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Central Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

St. Martinville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Catholic, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East St. John at 7:20 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
