Basketball Recap: Tipton Comes Up Short

Tipton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 52-21 loss at the hands of the Madison-Grant Argylls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 47-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Tipton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mackenzie Farinella posted ten points and six boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Madison-Grant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Winchester, who earned six points. Another player making a difference was AJ Hayes, who scored six points.

Tipton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Madison-Grant, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Tipton has already played their next game, a 49-24 loss against Frankton on the 16th. As for Madison-Grant, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-26 defeat against Southwood on the 11th.
