Baseball Recap: Milford Takes a Loss

Milford lost against Watseka back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bearcats took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Caleb Clutteur made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Wright, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Watseka, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.

Coming up, Milford will head out on the road to challenge Herscher at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Watseka, they will be playing at home against Cissna Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
