Basketball Game Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats vs. Patton Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bearcats duke it out with the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Patton will be up against a hot Hendersonville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Hendersonville breezed past Brevard to the tune of 67-18 on Tuesday. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hendersonville found their leader in sophomore Addison Reid, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reid has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Samiyah Smith, who had 14 points.

Hendersonville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Patton got the win against Chase on Wednesday by a conclusive 47-26. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Hendersonville's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Patton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-18.

Hendersonville took their win against Patton in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 41-16. Will Hendersonville repeat their success, or does Patton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
