Baseball Recap: Apollo Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Apollo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Millennium Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Apollo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Mendoza, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Coincidentally, Apollo and Millennium will both be playing Sunrise Mountain the next time they take the field. Apollo will host Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Millennium will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
