Valley Falls won the last time they faced Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dragons walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Cyclones.

Collin Kearney was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Kearney, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Brayson Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Valley Falls' win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-2.
