Basketball Recap: Picayune Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Picayune lost against St. Martin back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Maroon Tide took a blow against the Yellow Jackets, falling 77-50. The loss was the Maroon Tide's first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Picayune lost, don't look at Carleigh Guillotte. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. Guillotte is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Devin Adkins also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Picayune fell to 3-1. As for St. Martin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Picayune will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pass Christian at 6:00 p.m. As for St. Martin, they will head out to take on Forrest County Agricultural at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
