Volleyball Recap: SouthWest Edgecombe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

SouthWest Edgecombe entered their contest against Nash Central on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-23.

SouthWest Edgecombe's offense was headlined by Callie-Ann Webb and Gracie Beeman, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Payton Carraway and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

SouthWest Edgecombe's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Nash Central, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

SouthWest Edgecombe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against West Craven on the 18th. As for Nash Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Bunn on the 18th.
