Basketball Recap: Lyon County Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Lyon County came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trigg County Wildcats 88-37. Given the Lyons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Wildcats are ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lyon County pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.6 points per game. As for Trigg County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Lyon County will venture away from home to take on Graves County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lyon County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Graves County likes a good challenge.
