Basketball Recap: Keller Central Comes Up Short

Keller Central extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-8. They lost 46-21 to the Timber Creek Falcons. The Chargers were down 37-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

As for Timber Creek, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. 46 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Timber Creek was led to victory by Jillian Topping and Kylie Topping. Jillian dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Kylie made all 5 shots she took racking up 14 points. Those 14 points gave Kylie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Gonzalez, who posted five points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Coming up, Keller Central will venture away from home to challenge Waco at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Timber Creek, they will take on Seguin in a tournament on Thursday.
