Football Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

Fairfax played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Hamilton Yankees, falling 26-6. The Lions were down 20-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Hamilton found their leader in freshman Thaddeus II Breaux, who threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards and one TD. Breaux's passing game has become a key predictor of the Yankees' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Fairfax is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Hamilton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
