Volleyball Recap: Intrinsic Gets the Win

Intrinsic lost to Aspira Business and Finance back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the White Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

While Intrinsic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21.

Damian Kepa paced Intrinsic's offense, picking up eight kills. Kepa got some help from Bryan Alvarenga and his 19 assists. Alvarenga was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Intrinsic's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Aspira Business and Finance, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Intrinsic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Noble Street College Prep on the 24th. Aspira Business and Finance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
