Baseball Recap: Riverheads Comes Up Short

After flying high against Buffalo Gap last Thursday, Riverheads came back down to earth. The Gladiators fell just short of the Fort Defiance Indians by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Gladiators have suffered since April 8th.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Fort Defiance, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverheads is set to challenge their familiar foe Staunton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fort Defiance will square off against rival Waynesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
