Basketball Recap: Flagler Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Flagler kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 68-35 loss at the hands of the Cheyenne Wells Tigers. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Corey Hill had a dynamite game For Cheyenne Wells., dropping a double-double with 31 points and 23 boards. Hill has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 28 times he's played. Caden Muth was another key player, going 6-for-7 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Coming up, Flagler will take on Miami-Yoder in a tournament on Thursday. As for Cheyenne Wells, they will be taking part in a tournament against Syracuse at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
