Baseball Game Preview: Lee Central Stallions vs. Lamar Silver Foxes

For the second straight game, Lee Central will face off against Lamar. The Stallions will head out to take on the Silver Foxes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee Central has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lee Central came up short against Lamar on Tuesday, falling 24-8.

For Lamar's part, they let Cody Barr and Zoom Jackson run wild. Barr scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Jackson scored four runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. Jackson is becoming a predictor of Lamar's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Aiden Blackmon, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lamar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lee Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Lamar, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.
