Baseball Game Preview: Ponder Lions vs. Callisburg Wildcats

Ponder has gone 9-1 against Callisburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Ponder has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Ponder's offense. They came up short against Boyd on Friday, falling 11-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Callisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-1 to Paradise.

Ponder's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Callisburg, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

Ponder was able to grind out a solid win over Callisburg in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 6-2. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
