Basketball Game Preview: Hanover Hawks vs. Henrico Warriors

Hanover and Henrico are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Monday, Hanover made easy work of Matoaca and carried off a 69-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Henrico got the win against Mechanicsville on Monday by a conclusive 71-50. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Mustangs are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Henrico has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.7 points. As for Hanover, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
