Basketball Recap: Okawville Finds Playoff Glory Versus Dupo

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Okawville had no problem doing just that on Monday. They breezed past the Dupo Tigers to the tune of 51-19. 51 seems to be a good number for the Rockets as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Okawville found their leader in sophomore Kenley Hackstadt, who posted 14 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Hackstadt. The team also got some help courtesy of Jilien Harre, who had eight points.

Okawville was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dupo only two assists.

Okawville pushed their record up to 19-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Dupo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Okawville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-27 victory against Sandoval on the 20th. Dupo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
