Volleyball Recap: Ariana Magallanes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hagerman over Texico

Hagerman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Texico Wolverines, falling 3-0. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-12.

Hagerman's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariana Magallanes, who had nine digs and six kills. Magallanes has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last eight times she's played. Raeanne Talamantes was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

Hagerman's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Texico, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-6.

Hagerman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Loving on the 21st. As for Texico, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Portales on the 18th.
