Recap: Farmville Homeschool Lions vs. James River HomeSchool Eagles
The Farmville Homeschool Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against James River HomeSchool, falling 75-28. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Farmville Homeschool in their matchups with James River HomeSchool: they've now lost four in a row.
Matthew Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for James River HomeSchool, scoring 32 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Woodworth, who scored nine points.
Farmville Homeschool has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for James River HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Farmville Homeschool is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Salem Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. Salem Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for James River HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grove Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Grove Christian School is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
