Volleyball Recap: Superior Central Takes a Loss

Superior Central lost against North Dickinson back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Nordics by a score of 3-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Superior Central wouldn't go down easily and took North Dickinson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 17-25, 15-9.

North Dickinson can attribute much of their success to Tatum Cherubini, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Cherubini has posted over her last 18 contests.

Superior Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for North Dickinson, they now have a winning record of 12-11-2.

Coincidentally, Superior Central and North Dickinson will both be playing Rapid River the next time they take the court. The Nordics will host the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
