Volleyball Game Preview: Mater Academy Charter Lions vs. Sports Leadership & Management Wolves

After both having extra time off, the Mater Academy Charter Lions and the Sports Leadership & Management Wolves will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mater Academy Charter is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Last Friday, Mater Academy Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Coral Park, taking the game 2-0.

Mater Academy Charter found their leader in sophomore JAYLA DELGADO, who had five aces.

Meanwhile, the Wolves came up short against Sports Leadership & Management on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with Sports Leadership & Management: they've now lost four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.

Despite the loss, the Wolves saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Inaiyah Bedasie had 17 digs and four aces. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Bedasie.

Mater Academy Charter's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for the Wolves, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
